05:04 - Debunking the biggest myths about risk and HRT
13:00 - I know that Dr R and colleagues just did the big debunking re: Bi-Est interview a few weeks ago but I’ve just heard 2 women (who have a book coming out, about the myths of menopause) and they were saying time and again the women who were on hormones and still wound up with Osteopenia, were those on Bi-Est. So my question was, for the women that he’s seen on hormones whose symptoms are relieved and they still need a higher dose to get to where they are “protected”…. Do those tend to be the Bi-est users??? If he’s tired of answering this question, I understand…but they were just so adamant. Dr R has many more years in practice than they do, and it’s very possible that they are only dosing to abate symptoms and still missing the mark because the patients' hormone levels aren’t high enough to induce bone protection. It’s just so confusing, and none of us wants to do something we’ll regret down the road.
